It helps you pause, tune into how you’re feeling, listen to your inner needs, and understand what truly matters right now.
Through simple questions, imagery, and reflection, the participants gained the opportunity to see their lives more deeply than in the daily hustle and bustle, and regained a sense of vitality, warmth, and inner balance.
The game is based on the BASIC PH method, which helps not only to cope with stress but also to rediscover a zest for life. In difficult circumstances, the world often seems gray, empty, or hopeless. But through the game and the exploration of one’s own resources, a person gradually remembers what brings them joy, inspiration, and energy, and rediscovers sources of inner strength, noted author and facilitator Natalia Stadnychuk.
Each of the six BASIC PH channels — emotions, body, logic, imagination, communication, and faith — becomes a path to vivid sensations and renewal. Through imagination, inspiration returns; through the body, a sense of movement and lightness; through communication, warmth and support. It’s similar to how, after a long loss of appetite, a person begins to taste flavors again, only here we’re talking about emotional and life appetite.
The “Taste of Life” game helps not just to survive in difficult circumstances, but to live fully once more. It gently brings a person back to themselves — to the person capable of feeling, dreaming, laughing, loving, and acting. It is a path to inner renewal, acceptance, and deeper connection with one’s own life, the game participants shared.
The project is being implemented with the support and funding of the German women’s organization AMICA e.V. and the German foundation Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung.
