Supporting veterans and their families is one of the strategic directions of our organization’s activities, and we are always open to partnerships with veteran organizations and communities.

The first three-day session of the School of Public Participation took place in Kropyvnytskyi, on the basis of the veterans’ space “SVOI”. Natalia Stadnichuk, director of the NGO “Space for Positive Changes,” conducted the event as a trainer and facilitator.

Participants from different parts of the Kirovohrad region gained new knowledge, mastered practical skills and exchanged experience.

Project manager Natalia Salimova pointed out that the first stage of the school was a powerful boost for the participants. It presented opportunities for leadership, democratic principles, and the ability to defend their rights. This school is an important step in supporting veterans and their families by providing them with the necessary modern tools to actively participate in community life.

The training was conducted in a dynamic format: the participants were actively involved in simulation games, lively discussions and detailed analysis of real-life situations. This approach allowed them not only to master theoretical knowledge but also to immediately apply it in practice, developing the skills necessary for successful participation in public life.

There are several more training sessions ahead that will motivate veterans and their families to develop the communities in which they live.

The main goal of the project is to strengthen the capacity of female and male veterans and their families to actively participate in public and political life, develop leadership skills, increase the level of civic engagement, and facilitate the reintegration of veterans into public life.

The project is being implemented by the Mobile Volunteer Group with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy (EED).
