A round table discussion entitled “Women. Peace. Security: Strengthening Ukraine Together” was held in Dnipro, organized by the Dnipropetrovsk 1325 Coalition.

The event brought together representatives of civil society organizations from the Dnipropetrovsk and Luhansk regions, local self-government bodies, and experts working on the implementation of the “Women. Peace. Security” agenda at the regional level.

During the discussion of important topics, the importance of partnership between authorities and civil society organizations was emphasized in order to strengthen security and develop community resilience. Participants shared examples of women-led initiatives that promote social cohesion, rehabilitation of people affected by war, and the development of education and economic opportunities for women. It is thanks to the activism of women that a new culture of security is being formed—one that is humane, inclusive, and based on the values of peace.

Natalia Stadnychuk, director of the NGO “Space for Positive Change,” said that it is interaction, openness to dialogue, and shared responsibility that make it possible to respond effectively to the challenges of war, support communities, and develop mechanisms for local resilience.

The “Dnipropetrovsk Coalition 1325” is actively involved in all areas of regional development — from security and social cohesion to education, psychological support, and international partnership. Its activities are an example of how joint efforts can bring about lasting change even in such difficult times.
