As part of a territorial security audit, the NGO ‘Space for Positive Change,’ together with representatives of the ‘Dnipropetrovsk Region 1325’ coalition, visited the Magdalynivska community.
Conducting security audits and responding to identified problems is one of the priority areas of activity within the Women, Peace, and Security agenda. A project implemented by civil society organizations from the Magdalynivska community is an example of successful implementation of measures to improve the security situation in communities. The results of this project were presented during an off-site meeting of the Dnipropetrovsk 1325 Coalition.
As a result of joint efforts by the local government of the Magdalynivka Territorial Community and the NGO ‘Magdalynivka Union of Prisoners-Victims of Nazism,’ a comfortable and safe public transport stop was built on the most popular route in the village of Magdalynivka.
This is not the first visit to the Magdalynivska community. Many community projects are being successfully implemented here, which are examples of women’s social activism.
A territorial security audit is a comprehensive process of assessing a specific territory (city, town, village, or other settlement) with the aim of identifying vulnerabilities, threats, and risks, as well as developing measures to eliminate them and improve overall security.
The visit to the community was conducted under the project “Women. Peace. Security: Acting Together,” implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund and funded by the UK Government
